Patterns across industries

Different names, same shape.

Nine industries cluster into four recurring needs. If your business doesn't match the list above exactly, find the pattern it resembles.

Pattern 01

Sell, then service

A lead becomes a client, then a recurring invoice relationship. CRM and Invoicing are the backbone; everything else is secondary.

AgenciesFreelancersProperty
Pattern 02

Move physical goods

Stock in, stock out, cost of goods sold. Inventory and Accounting need to be tightly linked or your margins are guesses.

E-commerceManufacturingRestaurants
Pattern 03

Book, then bill

An appointment is the start of the revenue cycle. Scheduling drives everything downstream, including how staff get paid.

ClinicsRestaurantsProperty
Pattern 04

Crew on the move

Distributed labor, project-based billing, and often a cashflow gap waiting to be financed against unpaid invoices.

About industry fit

Common questions about finding your fit.

Don't see your exact industry? These nine cover the most common patterns, but Encarmo works for any business that needs some combination of accounting, invoicing, HR, payroll, inventory, CRM, scheduling, or capital. Talk to our team →

What if my business doesn't match any of these nine exactly?

That's normal — these are illustrative patterns, not rigid categories. Most businesses are a blend. A coaching business might use the agency setup. A small brewery might mix restaurant and manufacturing patterns. Pick whichever is closest and adjust modules from there — every combination is supported.

Can I start with one industry's setup and change later?

Yes. The “industry setups” are just recommended starting points, not locked configurations. Add or drop any module anytime, regardless of which industry page you started from. The product doesn't care what vertical you picked.

Are there industries Encarmo doesn't support well?

Encarmo is built for SMBs under roughly 200 employees that don't need a dedicated ERP implementation. Highly regulated industries with specialized compliance (heavy manufacturing with strict ISO traceability, healthcare requiring HIPAA-specific EHR integration) may need add-on tools alongside Encarmo. We're honest about this in sales conversations.

Do industry-specific setups cost more?

No. Pricing is purely about which modules you use, not which industry you're in. A 5-module construction setup costs exactly the same as any other business using the same 5 modules. There's no industry surcharge.

How were these module combinations decided?

From real customer usage data across thousands of Encarmo accounts, segmented by self-reported industry. These aren't guesses — they're the modules each industry actually activates most often in practice.
